I’m Vicky, a YTT registered Yoga teacher. The practice of Yoga has and continues to, change my life. My journey with yoga has grown and evolved since I was a teenager, always whispering in my ear, and calling me back particularly when life became turbulent. Yoga has rescued me more than once and brought me joy and connection. Becoming a Yoga teacher felt so natural to me and having the ability to share the magic of yoga’s traditions through philosophy, pranayama and asana, truly fills my heart.
My yoga classes have a nurturing atmosphere, where we move through postures mindfully with a balance of ease, control and strength. Beginning each class with a moment of relaxation and breath awareness, allowing the nervous system to calm. Then flowing in a way where we are fully embodied through each posture. This helps cultivate strength, along with an understanding of how to really engage our muscles, as well as giving an opportunity to feel grounded. Finding connection to the breath in stillness and while flowing from pose to pose. The classes are open to everyone, whether a complete beginner or someone wanting to deepen their practice. With variations for each posture, so that everyone can feel into their own body and discover what is right for them that day – whether that is to find a bit of heat or let the body rest. Opening space for self-exploration, to rebalance and connect mind and body. Within an understanding, kind, and non-judgmental environment.
I believe I am a student alongside my students, as we all learn and have fun in movement, exploration and navigating the waters of life together.
